Director and Principal Physiotherapist

Osian qualified as a Chartered Physiotherapist in 1999 from the University of Wales Cardiff gaining a BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy . He then consolidated his clinical practice at the University Hospital of Wales before working privately at St Joseph’s Hospital , Newport where he joined the outpatient musculoskeletal team working closely within a team of Orthopaedic Surgeons and Physiotherapists.

Osian then moved on to work in a busy private practice predominantly treating sports and spinal injuries before opening Recovery & Beyond Physiotherapy in 2005 treating everyday conditions to international sportspeople.

As well as expertise in the clinical setting Osian also has a wealth of experience within elite sport, he was the Head Physiotherapist for the Celtic Crusaders rugby league for a number of years , responsible for professional players care both on and off the pitch , as well as bring Welsh rugby league Head Physiotherapist. He has also consulted at the Welsh Institute of Sport , with elite athletes from a wide range of sports , was Lead Physiotherapist for Hockey Wales , and is looking forward to his third Commonwealth Games at Birmingham 2022 as part of the Medical Team for Team Wales.

Osian has a special interest in sports injury and sports performance , having qualified as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist with the NSCA and a member of the Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Sports Medicine. He also has a specialist interest and is very experienced in treating complex and non-responding musculoskeletal conditions using a combination of manual therapy , movement analysis , and strength and conditioning. For this he is very sought after and regularly receives such referrals from Surgeons , Sports Physicians and Elite Sports.
